Notes: Pou is the only male from the crew Lee County Animal Hospital took in a few months ago after their owner was sadly no longer able to care for them due to her worsening terminal health condition. Pou was facing euthanasia with the owner heartbreakingly having no other options.
Pou is an 8 year old intact male Pit Bull mix, weighing 75 lbs. He tested positive for heartworms and has completed treatment and started on Credelio Quattro, which is used for heartworm prevention, as well as flea and tick prevention and general dewormer. He has been vaccinated for Rabies (1 year) and a combination vaccine with distemper, parvovirus, parainfluenza, adenovirus, leptospirosis and coronavirus included. Pou has a condition called Horner's syndrome, which causes his right eye to appear slightly sunken in and his eyelids to roll in towards the eye. This goofy guy is very much a gentle giant and enjoys frolicking on walks and getting lots of pets. Pou is good with other dogs as well as cats. Please give Pou a chance so he will not be faced with risk of euthanasia again. Rescues can text 276.202.1198. Potential adopters can call 276-346-3750 or email lcah.reception@gmail.com
